Sheila Golden grew up in NY State. She attended the School of Visual Arts and the New School of Social Research in NYC where she then worked in the field of graphic design and illustration. After a move to California she studied film animation lithography and ceramics where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art. While living in CA Sheila became an important member of Artrails Open Studios and a guest artist in various schools teaching classes on watercolor collage. In 1996 Sheila was chosen as an artist-in-residence at the well-regarded Buena Vista Winery in Sonoma CA.
